Safe Call Now — 1-206-459-3020 24/7 confidential helpline staffed by first responders, for first responders and their families. Support for mental health, substance use, and personal crisis. This is the one to call if you want to talk to someone who has lived this life.

CopLine (Law Enforcement Only) — 1-800-267-5463 Confidential helpline for active and retired law enforcement. Answered by retired officers.

Frontline Helpline — 1-866-676-7500 24/7 coverage with first responder call-takers. Run by Frontline Responder Services.

NVFC First Responder Helpline — 1-888-731-3473 Run by the National Volunteer Fire Council. Helpline and text support for fire and EMS personnel and their families. Note: this is a benefit for NVFC members only.

Veterans Crisis Line — 1-800-273-8255, press 1 — or text 838255 Specifically for veterans of the US armed forces. Also accessible by calling 988 and pressing 1.

General Crisis Lines

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — Call or text 988 Available 24/7 for anyone in crisis. Not first responder specific but staffed by trained counselors. Press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line.

Crisis Text Line — Text HOME to 741741 Text-based support for anyone in crisis. Connect with a trained crisis counselor by text — useful when a phone call isn't possible.

If you're hesitant to call, that's understandable. Safe Call Now and CopLine are staffed by people who have worked in your world and understand the culture around asking for help. You don't have to explain yourself before you can get support.
